The Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) conducts exams for the Indian citizens every year to induce them into the civil services of the country.
Usually, the UPSC exam is divided into two parts. First, a preliminary exam (Paper-I + Paper-II) with objective type questions is conducted.
Then, a main exam comprising essay type questions for the eligible aspirants is conducted, after which aspirants will be selected on the basis of an interview.

- Economic and Social Development – Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector initiatives, etc.
- General issues on Environmental Ecology, Biodiversity and Climate Change – that do not require subject specialization.
