Srinagar, April 28: The Wakf Board of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday said that any decision for the wellbeing of people taken by the Government would be wholeheartedly supported and appealed people to offer prayers at home instead of assembling for congregational prayers amid surge in Covid19 pandemic.
The Waqf said only a handful of people living within the premises can visit Masjid or shrines to offer prayers while following all SOPs strictly.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Wakf Board J&K, Mufti Mohammad Farid-ud-Din said that Wakf the decision to lockdown will help contain Covid19 pandemic.
He said all religious clerics have been directed to ensure a little presence of Namazi’s in Masjids for prayers.
