15 YEAR OLD SOPORE GIRL KEEPS HER MOTHER’S ART OF CALLIGRAPHY ALIVE
Falaq Dilawar , a young girl, from Wudoora Sopore taken her passion for calligraphy to another level. Hailing from a small village in Sopore f Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district, a 15-year-old girl is keeping her mother’s legacy alive by carry forwarding the art of calligraphy.
I started making the calligraphy at a time when no other was doing it because of the COVID lockdown.
As we all were under lockdown due to COVID19, I took help of social media to display my art and reach people
I usually write verses from the Quran, nothing can be better than the words of Almighty,” says Falaq Dilawar.
About the support of parents in her work, she says that whatever she has achieved would not have been possible without their support and I find myself at peace when I do calligraphy she said.
Kashmir has huge talent but hasgot fewer platforms. The talent of Young ones is a waste as there is no platform where the youth can showcase their talent,” she said.
