Ganderbal, June 26 (KNO): The Jammu and Kashmir police on Friday prevented a minor girl from committing suicide in Shalhar Dab area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the police on last evening prevented the minor from committing suicide after she was found attempting into river Jhelum near Shalhar Dab village.
He said that after noticing her movement as doubtful, duty officer Shadipora rushed towards her and foiled her suicidal attempt.
“The Girl (name with held), resident of Magam locality of Budgam was pacified and after proper counselling was handed over to her parents,” he said—(KNO)
