Meet The Young Girl Reebu Hassan Ist Hockey Coach of Kashmir From Kashmir Division
I start my journey in 2014,but due to floods I stopped my practice during that situation and continue again it in 2015.Before that I was allrounder in sports. So, I played many games like judo, carrom, boxing, hockey, kabadi, khokho, shooting, cricket and football as well, I got many silver and gold medals in those games. And i also participated at national level in something games such as florball, carrom, and ball hockey, in ball hockey I won silver medal at national level .
And in football I got selected for AIFF grassroot level course. I also done that course. But when I complete this course I felt that I have to do something new and unique. so, I choose hockey discipline.
It was unique that time because after long time hockey takes rebirth in kashmir division, especially for girls I think first time girls taked step forward in this feild. So, it was also challenge for me to prove myself in this feild. But in starting nobody support me, no one guide me. Every body's perception was that this is not for you , this is ony for boys, it haven't any scope and all that. But I continued my practice , i ignore these things and the main thing is that I never give up. And there was a big challenge for me because I don't have any support from any side, I faced lots of problems like, lacking of platform,lacking of infrastructure,lacking of equipments, and lacking of support everywhere. Even my parents told me what people think, leave this sports feild. But I promise to ownself that one day will prove myself and make my parents proud.but there was a need of hardwork . At that time I don't have cell phone nor any supportive person who guide me and motivate me for this purpose. But thanks to my Almighty Allah, luckily I met with a teacher he trained me very well for this discipline and start to convince my parents for this, and support me. Because sir was knowing that this is my dream and I am capable. So, from that day parents start little bit support to me.but I got a full parental support when I got selected 2nd time for nationals.After that I played 3rd senior national and I got selected for NS NIS course( to become a certified coach) at Patiala, Punjab. Now Alhamdulillah I am the first and youngest female coach of kashmir division.
Recently i got consider as a coach in sports council . I am a NS, NIS certified coach also.
I am the only girl among boys and girls who got select for this post in whole kashmir division.
I am the only female coach who provide coaching from past of 4 years for little and Young buds (both boys and girls) on volunteer basis as well.
I am the only girl who qualify level basic coaching course, Organised by hockey India and got selected for level 1 from whole kashmir division. And I am the only girl from kashmir division,among boys and girls who played three senior national hockey championship that was organized by hockey India.
And i got appreciate with the,women empowerment Award.
Recently I also appreciated with NATIONAL SPORTS AWARD (presented by national sports and physical fitness board of india). And for this award i am the only player who got selected from whole kashmir division .
