Two Kashmiri specially-abled players selected for International Cricket

 SRINAGAR: Two Kashmiri youth got selected for the international disabled cricket team of India ahead of the Bangladesh tour.

A 25-year-old Nayeem Ahmad Malla physically disabled is among the two who was selected for the International Indian cricket team. The cricket team is supposed to play the ODI series against Bangladesh in Dhaka.

Nayeem Ahmad Malla, a shawl seller by profession, resident of Aarath village of Budgam has received the selection letter from the Board of Disabled Cricket Association to play at the international level.

Nayeem has also been selected to play in Test and T-20 matches for the Indian Cricket Team.

Ferroz Ahmad Ganie, a resident of Check Panjpora (Bijbehara) of the district has also been selected for the Indian Disabled cricket team for the upcoming ODI series against Bangladesh which is scheduled to be played in Bangladesh.

After performing well in the recently concluded Probable cricket selection camp at Hyderabad which was organized by the Disabled Cricket Association (BDCA).

“I met with an accident in 2014 and later I was bedridden at home for the next two years. Then I joined J&K’s Disabled Cricket Team” said Feroz. “should I call it my misfortune or a blessing, this accident gave me an opportunity to play in the JK’s disabled cricket team.
