Kashmir will be connected to Kanyakumari by train in December 2022: LG
Sinha was accompanying Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari for the Foundation Stone Laying and Commencement of work for 4 NH Projects of total length 121 KM with an Investment of 3612 Cr
Stating that Kashmir will be connected to Kanyakumari by train in December 2022, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said that the National Highway projects will catalyze socio-economic development in J&K.
Sinha was accompanying Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari for the Foundation Stone Laying and Commencement of work for 4 NH Projects of total length 121 KM with an Investment of 3612 Cr.
Sinha appreciated the efforts PM Narendra Modi in building newer Highways and roads and bringing qualitative changes in people’s lives.
“Sincere gratitude to Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji, who has brought qualitative change in people’s lives since 2014. From National Highways to rural roads, the infrastructure has become stronger than ever”, Sinha said.
On the occassion LG further stated that Kashmir will be connected to Kanyakumari by train in December 2002.
“Kashmir will be connected to Kanyakumari by train in December 2022. Today roads are being built at a much faster pace than ever before. This year a target of 8000 km of macadamisation has been set. J&K UT fares third in the whole country in terms of road construction,” Sinha said.
