Besides, the department also asked the private tuition centers to reserve 10 percent quota for the Below Poverty Level (BPL), orphan or destitute students.

In a notification issued by the Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK), Tassaduq Hussain Mir said, “The coaching centre shall ensure that no government employee is imparting teaching in their coaching or tuition centre and the centre shall submit an affidavit duly attested by the judicial magistrate.”

He said that in case of any violation found from the particular coaching centre, strict action under provision of law shall be initiated against the centre and also the action under JK Civil Service Conduct Rule will be followed accordingly against the particular government employee.

“The coaching centres should reserve the 10 percent of intake capacity quota for the students of community belonging to BPL, orphan or destitute for the year 2021-22 which shall be notified by this office separately on receipt of these applications from the students,” it reads.
DSEK also asked the private coaching institutions to register their establishments for the academic year 2021-22.

“The validity in registration of private coaching and tuition centres has already expired and the DSEK has issued an advisory for information of the general public November 2017 followed by a series of advisories to the general public not to enroll their wards in un-registered coaching or tuition centres,” it reads.

The director said that in order to follow up the registration process of private coaching and tuition centres for the year 2021-22 either for renewal of their registration or getting fresh registration, they shall follow the mechanism and criteria laid down by the department.

Stating the criteria, DSEK said, “The District Monitoring Committee (DMC) shall ensure receipt of those documents and no application form shall be entertained without the requisite documents.”
It also said that the private coaching institutes shall publish class-wise or subject-wise fee structure in the leading Kashmir based newspapers for information of the general public especially to the aspirant candidates who intend to get coaching in the particular centre.
