In India, there are 50 Central Universities (CUs) CUs are controlled by the central government. These institutes offer attractive career opportunities for aspirants who wish to pursue in teaching. CUs recruit faculty posts as per the UGC faculty recruitment norms.
According to the UGC existing norms, candidates who qualify National Eligibility Test or State Eligibility Test (SET) are eligible to apply for the post of assistant professor. Candidates who have PhD degree in accordance with UGC regulations will be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET.
