Govt Degree College Kilam renamed after Inspector M Altaf Dar

Kulgam, Nov 6: Authorities today renamed Government Degree College (GDC) Kilam after Inspector Mohammad Altaf Ahamd Dar, who lost his life while discharging his duty a few years ago.
“It was informed that Dar was a resident of Village Zungalpora Kulgam and got martyred in the year 2015,” read an official handout.
A naming ceremony of the college was organized today which was attended by the Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, SSP Kulgam, GV Sandeep, ADC, ACR, Principal GDC Kilam, Students and college staff besides his Father and relatives also attended college’s naming ceremony.
