Disturbed about the clash between NEET Counselling and exam schedule, students have taken to social media, calling this system ‘unfair.’

NEET PG 2022 Exam! – Why are students irked and demanding postponement?
On seeing the NEET PG 2021 counselling dates, one would notice that the counselling finally concludes only on March 16, 2022. However, as per the new schedule released for NEET PG 2022, the exam would be conducted on March 12, 2022.
This has upset many candidates as those who are expecting to get seats in the later rounds of counselling, are now confused whether to apply for the next exam. Some have even said that even if they apply for the exam, they hardly have any time to prepare and give a just attempt.
Several NEET PG aspirants spoke to Times Now (on conditions of anonymity) and said that the problem is not just about many aspirants giving another exam in the middle of counselling. It is much bigger than that and stretches to the internship aspect as well.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many medical exams got postponed which led to many students starting their internships late. NEET PG 2022 aspirants further shared that under usual circumstances, interns are eligible to appear for NEET PG as their internships get completed before the counselling begins. However, this time due to the delay, it is likely that many aspirants will not be eligible to appear in the postgraduate exam, depriving them of a fair chance.
Postpone NEET PG 2022 Exam! – What candidates want & where are they headed?
On conditions of anonymity, some NEET PG aspirants have also shared that they are planning to file a petition, seeking postponement of the exam. Their concerns are the ones mentioned above and all they want is postponement of exam by 2 to 3 months so that there is adequate gap in the current counselling process and next exam.
NEET PG 2021 counselling registration will end tomorrow, on Januaru 17, 2022. Meanwhile, the registrations for next exam are underway and would end on Februay 4, 2022. Candidates are advised to keep a check here for latest updates on the medical exam.
